VMeisoft Autokey

You can get things done faster by using hotkeys, keyboard shortcuts, and macros. With VMeisoft Autokey, you can create custom keyboard shortcuts, macros, as well as mouse shortcuts. You can for example set it so the FindMySoft website is accessed when you use the Ctrl + F hotkey. Or you can set it so a piece of text is pasted when you press a certain hotkey.

Download a 6.3Mb installer, run it, then follow the simple instructions presented by a setup wizard. These are the simple steps you must go through to get VMeisoft Autokey up and running on your Windows-powered machine. Not only is it a simple process, it won’t take long to complete either.

The panel on the left hand side of the interface displays all available profiles. You can create a new profile by clicking the button in the upper left hand corner or by using the “Create a new profile” option from the right click context menu.
Select a profile and all the hotkeys available for that profile will be displayed in the panel on the right hand side. A new item can be added to the list by clicking the button in the lower right hand side or by using the “Create a new item” option from the right click context menu.

Creating a new item is a 2-step process.
Step 1 – pick between a keyboard shortcut and a mouse shortcut.
Step 2 – assign an action to that shortcut: keystroke combination, macro, mouse function, text block, shortcut, and more.

Here’s an example of what can be done with VMeisoft Autokey. I assigned a text block to the num key 1. So when I press 1 on the keyboard, the text “This is a FindMySoft test performed by George Norman for FindMySoft” is pasted.
